Yes, Pats fans were proud of being fans of the greatest dynasty in history. No they didn’t play. But I was in the stadium in the early 90’s. Bills fans, super butt hurt, keep grasping at straws. After he makes mistakes, all I hear about him from the talking heads is how he’s “progressing.”
This is because Mac Jones was drafted in the first round by a coaching genius. So he must be good, right?
The eye test doesn’t lie. He looked terrible at his pro-day and while he has flashed an ability to play within a system that is set up to exploit his strengths and minimize his weaknesses, it’s pretty clear that he’s very limited.
If he played for any other coach on any other team, the media would not be so kind.

You say, “it’s pretty clear that he’s very limited”, really!? Didn’t Josh Allen look absolutely pathetic in one of his first playoff games? Critics made him sound like a QB who shouldn’t even be on a practice squad.
As for a system set up to highlight his strengths and hide his weaknesses, the Kid was a rookie who was handed the job the minute Cam Newton was let go. Of course they hid his weaknesses, what good coach wouldn’t?
And since when has looking “terrible” at a pro-day resulted in NONE of those players having a good NFL career? Also keep in mind before labelling him (or any other very young athlete), he hasn’t even played 1 game in his second season yet! Did Tom Brady have a pro-day?, I’m asking, because if he did he must have been awful. Look where he was drafted.
And you say, “the eye test doesn’t lie”, it’s like analytics it depends on how it’s used. Yesterday he looked awful, but put it into context. He’s being coached by two Defensive specialists who haven’t even coached a high school offense. He’s had more voices in his head the past few months than some very unfortunate people with mental illness. And his OL and his RBs and WRs are in the same predicament. This year’s RB coach is a 29 year old former NFL safety, with one year of coaching as a RB assistant. Hello! That’s context. People who misuse analytics never think outside the box, they take everything at face value. If the Rams had done that Stafford might still be in Detroit.

Yet none of you are thankful to the guy who actually brought success, you did absolutely nothing and that cheater coach you worship did nothing but ride Brady’s coattails, take the credit and cheat.
